Wednesday Highlights

On the way to Stanage Edge, our coach came across a flock of sheep - or rather, they came across us.

Once we arrived, we were set two different climbing routes, which later increased to five. ( including abseiling ) Some children scaled the rocks like spidermen and it was an amazing overall experience for us all.

Beautiful weather

We are enjoying beautiful weather at the moment.......

This is the sky looking towards the end of the Edale Valley taken when we were walking on Monday evening on a circular walk taken in the Pennine way (start) and Barber Booth.

This is taken while rock climbing on Stanage edge looking towards the Great Ridge. A cracking day for climbing with some magic climbers working really hard.

The Great Ridge Walk

The Great Ridge Walk is a very picturesque part of the Peak District.
We climbed up to Lose Hill and then across to Mam Tor.
It seemed really hard at first, but then when we reached the very top of Lose Hill we thought this would be easier because there were no more steep parts.
There was lots of wildlife in the mountains for instance sheep, billy goats and cows.
It was very fun but quite challenging.
It was 5 miles long.
Dear family,
So far this week we have had fun doing archery and most people hit balloons. As well as that we went on a night walk for two hours taking funny pictures of sheep bums and sheep stranded on clifftop hills.#lol

Very excited about another Edale Adventure, even though I appear to have been removed from bottle-washing duties.
Nevertheless, I'm sure there will be lots of adventures in store, and perhaps less 'weather' at the top of Lose Hill than last year.
I'm confident Year 6 will be up for whatever challenges come their way...

Woodbridge Primary School Derbyshire 2019 Blog

Welcome to the WPS Y6 Derbyshire trip blog for 2019.

The blog is an informal way of communicating between the those of us lucky enough to go on the trip and those of you who have been left behind. We hope it will give a little insight into all that is going on before and during the trip to Edale.

There will be a variety of contributors including the pupil groups (time permitting).

You may notice the odd test posting from time to time as we sort out authors and permissions.

As this is a public blog site individual children will not be posting directly.

Bob.
